I’m Yaroslav Monchak, a photographer originally from Ukraine.
For more than 17 years, photography has been a central part of my life.
Seven years ago, I founded LIGHTHOUSE, the largest private photography school in Western Ukraine, where more than 3,000 students learned to see and create through light.
I also teach workshops across Europe.
Now I live in Vevey, Canton of Vaud, where I share my experience with those who want to grow in professional photography.
My teaching method is different from the usual academic style — it’s practical, personal, and adapted to modern photography.
We focus on real situations, creative problem-solving, and clear understanding of light.
These sessions are for those who want to develop strong skills in portrait and studio photography — not as a hobby, but as a profession.

My Approach to Teaching
I believe the best way to learn photography is by doing it.
We start with light — how to see it, shape it, and use it with purpose.
Then we move to working with people, building trust, and finding real emotion.
There is no heavy theory or complicated rules.
We talk, we practice, and we look at the results together.
Every lesson has a clear goal and direct feedback.
I adapt each session to the person in front of me.
Everyone learns differently, and that’s the beauty of it.
My goal is not only to teach techniques,
but to help you build confidence and develop your own visual language.
Studio Commercial Photography Course – Vevey (Vaud)
